Cub Scouts Pack 114 Receives Charter

Good News!!!! Cub Scouts Pack 114 is once again active. Pack 114 went dormant several years ago but recent interest has made it possible to bring it back in a big way.
Post 170 Westcliffe of the American Legion is the sponsoring organization for Cub and Boy Scouts. At the monthly membership meeting on February 6th, Pack 114 presented its new Charter to the Post with proper ceremony. Opening the meeting, Pack members presented the Colors and led the Pledge of Allegiance. Following the opening Doug Burgdorff, Pack Committee Chairman and Ted Johnson, Cub Master discussed the importance of Scouting for building character development, citizenship training, mental and physical fitness. After their remarks Scouts Gavin Bonilla, Jacksyn Adamov, Matthew Burgdorff and Keller Johnson presented their charter to Post 170.
The rejuvenation of Pack 114 with 18 new members is a major step to assuring Custer County is well represented with Scouting. Any parent with a young man who is interested in joining Pack 114 can contact Doug Burgdorff at 371-0902 or Ted Johnson at 371-1257.
