On Friday, the girls played an away game against the Center Vikings and came out on top 62-38. Elizabeth Mullett paced her team with 27 points and Katie Florom scored 15, for second high in scoring.

Senior Elizabeth Mullett and sophomore Lindsey Gilmore each scored 15 points, followed by freshman Catherine Mullett’s nine points to lead the Lady Bobcats scoring effort.
The team is 3-3 in league play for the season and 10-9 over all. quarter-finals games are played on Tuesday, February 20th in a couple locations for District 1. Custer County fans can easily come out and support the Lady Bobcats on the home floor, with a 6 p.m. tip-off. This game will be in the history books by the time this issue of the Sentinel is in its readers’ hands. But, here is the good news– if Saturday’s victory can be repeated. The Cripple Creek-Victor girls will once again come down the mountain to Custer County and take on the Lady Bobcats.
The winners of the quarter- final games (the other game is Del Norte vs. Crested Butte) will meet on Thursday, February 22nd, in Monte Vista for Semi-finals. Likewise, still this week. Both winners and losers move on to State Championship games at Adams State College in Alamosa, all on Saturday, February 24th. The girls won last night vs. Cripple Creek-Victor, 41-26.
As we go to press, Custer County Girls will play Del Norte Thursday at 3:30 p.m. in Monte Vista. The Lady Bobcats will have their hands full, since they lost 71-48 on January 20th.
We hope to see our Lady Bobcats at Adams State on Saturday.
GO LADY BOBCATS!
