New Member Orientations
by George Gramlich
Last Saturday saw the Annual Sangre Shooting Sports Club Annual Meeting as a standing room only event at the bowling alley’s event room with over 100 shooters showing up. The club was founded in 1988.
President Grant Lewinsky opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance and a silent prayer. The agenda included reviewing last year’s accomplishments including adding an ADA walkway, ADA accessible bathroom, new road base on the driveway, new AR500 steel targets at the 200-yard stage, and a very successful annual range cleanup.
Grant also stated that the Sheriff’s Office is no longer using the range on specified days as they now have their own range.
New member mandatory range orientation sessions will be held the first Saturday in February, March and April.
An important 2020 project will be raising the southern berm. The club currently has 285 active members.
The following Board members are resigned: Regis Frank, Mike Allen, Peggi Collins, Steve Cocks, Don Bishop and Bruce Medina.
