Randall A. Smith Passes

Obituary
Randall A. Smith

Our dad, brother, uncle and friend Randall A. Smith, aka Randy or Chico was called home to be with his parents on January 5, 2021. Dad passed away at his home in Westcliffe, Colorado due to complications from Covid-19. Dad made so many close friends in Westcliffe who helped look after him when he was sent home from Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo, Colorado. We can never express our gratitude and appreciation for this. Just know our hearts were warmed knowing he was cared and loved by you all.

Randy proudly served in the Army for 22 years as an Advanced Biomedical Equipment Specialist. He served a tour in Vietnam and was stationed in Germany and Korea as well as all across the USA. Dad received the Army Service Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal (sixth award), Overseas Service Bars(1), Vietnam Cross of Gallantry w/Palm, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, Vietnam Service Medal, Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon(3), Sharp Shooter Badge with Rifle Component Bar and Army Commendation Medal.

Randy continued his career as a Biomedical Tech for 20+ years with OU Medical, Grady County Memorial Hospital and finally Jackson County Memorial Hospital, all located in Oklahoma.

Randy was able to fulfill a lifelong dream of his and build a cabin in the mountains of Colorado. He moved into his cabin in 2015 and began living his best life of retirement. He enjoyed anything outdoors and making memories with his loving family of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his dad Otis Smith, his mom Helen Jardine and her Second husband Bill Jardine. His paternal grandparents Earl and Jessie Smith and maternal grandparents T.J. and Grace Bridges. He had two brothers in laws proceed him as well: Andy Booker and Jere F. Doerfler.

Randy is survived by daughters Jenifer Langdon and Amanda Smith. His younger brother Dale and Joyce Smith and his younger sister Cathy Doerfler. He was the proud uncle to Gene and Allison Doerfler, Jason and Kacie Booker, Deanna and Steven Culp and Jere F. Doerfler Jr. and his fiancée Whitney Carter. There are many great and great-great nieces and nephews whom he loved and cherished.

Randy has a large extended family of friends here in the Westcliffe area who have graciously arranged a celebration of his life at 4Kings Bar & Grill on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 from 1-4, Westcliffe. In lieu of flowers and food please make a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association or to Sangre Shooting Sports Club. PO Box 1554 Westcliffe, CO 81252.

4,000 yards in 8.5 seconds

by Mark Bunch,
President Royal Gorge Gun Club/Chairman Fremont County NRA
Long Distance Rifle Shooting basics
Once upon a time in the not too distant past, if you were a long-distance shooter, you likely had the skill set, knowledge and experience to shoot at and hit your 1 M.O.A. target out to1,000 yards or so. As most of you reading this already know, a 1 M.O.A. target subtends 1.047 inches at 100 yards or commonly rounded down to 1 inch at a hundred yards, or roughly 10 inches at 1,000 yards which used to be considered the long-distance threshold for long distance rifle shooting. UPDATE January 5 Mailchimp Dumps the Lundberg Report

This man, Kevin Lundberg,  is the MOST HONEST PERSON I have ever known when it comes to politics and reporting. And he is one of the very few Americans who does not separate his faith or person from his job. These are integral.
He has given all, over the last few years, when NO MEDIA would cover the bills being passed in Colorado.
This is the fight.  Christian Conservatives have been suppressed by media in general, Facebook, WordPress, Twitter, and now Mailchimp. Continue reading UPDATE January 5 Mailchimp Dumps the Lundberg Report

Lundberg Report: Will Freedom be lost on our Watch?

Lundberg Report

December 24, 2020

I was talking with a gentleman from Loveland the other day. He asked me what he could do to help with the election issues we see everywhere. My best advice may have sounded trite, but I see it as quite the opposite.

I said pray. Pray as if your future depends upon it, because it does. Continue reading Lundberg Report: Will Freedom be lost on our Watch?

Ron Hanks attends Legislative Audit Committee meeting on election integrity

RON HANKS FOR HOUSE DISTRICT 60

-December 21, 2020

Merry Christmas to Christians around the world, and likewise I hope Jews around the world enjoyed a happy Hanukkah.

On 15 Dec. 2020, I attended the Legislative Audit Committee meeting on election integrity, which focused on Colorado’s use of Dominion Voting Systems. It was a two-hour meeting that ultimately went more than eight. There was testimony of limited value, some of no value, and some that was quite remarkable. If you listen to no other portion of that testimony, I would recommend you listen to this segment: https://www.bitchute.com/video/R55QCWT7a1Vm/

Board of Health Rebuts Trib’s Vicious Allegation Against Health Director

Board of Health Rebuts Vicious Allegation
Against Director Dr. Brown

by George Gramlich
Yes, we have more drama at the Custer County Public Health Agency. But this time it was generated by an outside source with a dubious agenda (instead of the usual infighting between the Shut Her Down/Level Redders directors Flowers and Printz versus the commonsense health AND business oriented Director Canda.)
With regards to the latest scandal, board member Jay Printz, in a rare moment of clarity and brevity, summed up the whole affair about halfway through the brief 21 minute meeting Monday morning, December 14th, when he said: “I think it was a witch hunt.” Amen.
