The triple homicide case that shook Custer County nearly two years ago was set to go before a jury next week, but a Fremont County judge granted a request Wednesday to delay the trial for the third time since the case started.
Hanme Clark, 46, is accused of fatally shooting three of his neighbors — Rob Geers, his wife, Beth Wade Geers, and James Daulton — over what authorities suspect was a land dispute on November 20, 2023. Daulton’s wife, Patty Daulton, survived the shooting but sustained serious injuries, according to previous Gazette reporting. There were two recent hearings regarding the alleged triple murder off Oak Creek Grade in November of 2023. One concerned the alleged perpetrator of the murders, Hanme Clark, and the other one was about his associate, Nancy Median-Kochis, who was charged with multiple counts of accessory to a crime. Motions Hearing for Hanme Clark in Triple Homicide Case

A Motions Hearing was held by 11th Judicial District Judge Lauren Swan at the Custer County Courthouse Tuesday, March 18. The hearing started at 8:30 a.m. It concerned the alleged triple murder of three Custer County residents by one Hanme K. Clark.
Clark was present at the hearing. He is currently being held at the Pueblo County Jail with a $2 million cash bond requirement.

Medina-Kochis Bails Out

The Custer County Sheriff’s Office posted a Press Release stating that “Nancy Rae Medina-Kochis posted a $100,000 cash only bond and was released from the El Paso County Jail last weekend where she was being held.”
Medina-Kochis is charged with being accessory to crimes committed by her boyfriend, Hanme Clark. Clark alleging committed three murders off of Oak Creek Grade on November 20, 2023.
