Liberal Protestors Target The Sentinel, Tibetan Yak Love Songs Heard

The photo above is a recreation of one of the local participants at last Saturdays anti-American protest at the Sentinel. The FBI took the Sentinel’s surveillance tapes, so we had to build, through eye witnesses and our forensic software, the image of one of the leaders of the tawdry affair. Yes, he did have a pink parasol. There were some conflicting observations on his actual attire. One observer said it looked like midnight on Bourbon Street during the Mardi Gras. –Editor/GG.

A  group of local and out-of-town-flatlander liberals staged a rather entertaining “protest” Saturday, January 20th, centering on the Sangre de Cristo Sentinel’s location at 601 Main Street, Westcliffe, CO.
About 25 to 30 progressives, most of them a bit long in the tooth but gayly attired, parked their cars in the Custer County School parking lot one block east of The Sentinel and proceeded to gather at The Sentinel around noon. The collectivists stayed mostly in front of The Sentinel building but a few venturous bolshies sashayed west along Main Street.
Some of the our local lefty, transplant agitators were spotted amongst the colorful melange. Some chanting was heard although the language and dialect could not be discerned. One observer likened it to a Tibetan Yak love song in b flat. Many were apparently still in mourning over the Hillary Clinton loss. Sob.
A full range of the standard leftist/progressive signs were displayed with the following themes: anti-Trump, pro-choice, pro-DACA, pro-feminist, pro-immigration, anti-border wall, and pro-Islam immigration. No ‘Make America Great’ signs were to be seen.
It was an inspiring sight - old, white, grey haired, well off, 1960’s counter culture despots complaining about the same system that allowed them to lead a prosperous and free life. No guns were observed by The Sentinel’s surveillance cameras. (You know, I wonder if they would feel the same if they grew up in the Congo or Iran. Or Honduras.) Fear not, patriots, the Sentinel security team was on the job. Believe me.
We are honored that these luminaries chose the ‘America First’ Sentinel for their protest venue. We apparently have caught their attention with our conservative, pro-life, Christian, free market, Second Amendment, free speech and honest government reporting and commentary. The recall of the two progressive Custer County Commissioners last year was also probably a motivating factor. There was no reports of these wonderful visitors spending ANY money in town. Libs tend to be on the cheap side when visiting. They’re special.
All in all, another day in Happy Valley.
