Awarded the Army Commendation Medal

Congratulations to PFC Elias A. Zeller, of Westcliffe, Colorado for his accomplishments this month during the 2021 Colorado Army National Guard “Best Warrior” Competition.

PFC Zeller, a Combat Medic with 3/157 Field Artillery Battalion, set the pace the entire competition, taking first place for the Colorado Army National Guard. Soldiers from all Colorado Army National Guard units were chosen to compete; showcasing their professionalism, tactical and technical expertise and intestinal fortitude.
PFC Zeller was awarded the Army Commendation Medal and will be sent to Fort Benning, Georgia, to Airborne School for his hard fought accomplishments. PFC Zeller is a 2019 Home School graduate and a Business Major at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. His parents, Andrew and Beth Ann Zeller of rural Westcliffe, are very proud of Elias’ accomplishments.
