Barron Broadston passed away suddenly from a heart attack on December 28, 2022. Born July 24, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois,
he grew up in New Jersey where he met his high school sweetheart, Joan. They were married in June of 1959 and moved to California where they raised two children, Ted Broadston and Ellen (Broadston) Wilcox. Five grandchildren followed.
From California, the couple migrated to Westcliffe, CO. He loved fishing, camping, hiking and woodworking. Barron especially loved his four great grandchildren.
Once he saw the beautiful Sangre de Cristo Mountains, these called to him and he spent eight years enjoying the view and enjoying his four great grandchildren; Carlee Hutton, Kelsea Hutton, Colton Wilcox and Peyton Schulze.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring.
