Combat veteran Ron Hanks has served in the military throughout the world and across the United States.  He purchased land in Colorado in 2007 with the intent to retire and explore the Mountain West from the center of it all.

Ron retired from the U.S. Air Force at the end of 2017 after more than 32 years of active and reserve service, serving as an enlisted man and as a commissioned officer.  He worked as a linguist in Desert Storm and during multiple operations, including Northern Watch, Southern Watch, and Earnest Will.  During the Global War on Terror, Ron served as an intelligence officer, performing duties in Iraq, Kuwait, and United Arab Emirates. Could be a fun presentation Monday, February 17, 5:30 p.m. at the Saddle Club when Lauren Boebert, the pistol packing owner of the famous gun friendly diner, Shooters Grill in Rifle, Colorado, comes to Westcliffe. She is launching a primary challenge against our existing Third Congressional District Congressman, Scott Tipton. She is a long time registered Republican and has been a national figure in the Second Amendment rights fight. The meeting started with the Pledge of Allegiance and roll call. Introductions of the public followed.
Commissioner Printz presented Chairman Flower with a certificate of appreciation for all the hard work he’s done to include remodeling the Public Health office, the VSO, and the Human Services office as well as the new table for the BOCC.
Chairman Flower called attention to the new microphone system that will allow both the audience in the room and the audience on streaming to hear the speakers.

Chairman Flower opened the first meeting of 2020 with prayer.
